Newcastle, The Broken Hill Proprietary Co. Ltd., 1935. Oblong octavo, [4] pages (a bifolium). Unevenly tanned; an excellent copy. The printed text of the invitation, with the details inscribed in ink, reads; 'The Directors of The Broken Hill Proprietary Co. Ltd. request the honor of the Company of [W.T. Rofe Esq.] at Newcastle on the occasion of the Celebration of the Jubilee Year of the Company from [Evening July 7] 1935 to [July 10] 1935 inclusive'. William Taylor Rofe was long-standing president of the South Australian Employers' Federation. A small printed Christmas card from him, dated 1940-41, is loosely inserted. [2 items].
