Printed in a small edition by this little known publisher, this making it rather hard to come by. Keith is always good to read. A great book. Bookplate of Bob Bates, former Dallas SCI President. 310 pp, profuse ill, + ads in rear. One of Stigand's more in depth works on East African big game hunting with special sections on stalking, spoor, coloration. Incl the game of Uganda and the eastern Congo as well as the game of the different geographical regions incl. plains and riverine game. In original imit. crocodile cloth gilt. Small gift inscription dated 1909 and former owner's printed bookplate. A nice vg+ copy.

Wong Quincey became the first Chinese to bag Ovis ammon darwini and Ovis ammon ammon. Terrific reading Asian book and still about the only one on Northern Chinese sheep hunting. VG+ to near fine, in the scarce, also VG+ dj.

We have NEVER been able to offer a copy of this before (in 54 years!). Mountain sheep, bears, moose & caribou. This book is all about hunting everything the Yukon had to offer. It is well written and nicely produced. This copy bound in blue cloth with printed cover label. Housed in a custom made, heavy, black cloth, gilt stamped clamshell folding box. The book is so rare that no one has ever been able to reprint it. GREAT for any collection. 242 pp. 174 ill. Maps. Worldwide big game hunting by a man with more narrow escapes than most. Interesting reading. Splendid photos, especially of elephants & buffalo. Chapters on elephant, rhino, lion and leopard. Excellent chapters on the big five and more. VG to VG+ (one tiny nick on bottom front cover, some wear at corner cloth). Much nicer than it sounds.
