Volume I covers oils and watercolours up to 1699, and includes Durer, Holbein, Rubens and many more. The age of sense and sensitivity in bird art is the subject of Volume II, as well as the art world in general, although there were still works being produced in the style and composition of the old masters. Includes works from Casteels, Cradock, van Royen, Stranover and Bogdani.
