Old parchment backed boards, worn and a bit soiled. Light foxing and creasing to title, scattered minor foxing internally, a few early marginal notes and marks at end. With the Aldine device to title. 16, 169, (1) leaves. Final leaf is errata and a bit browned. There is a second title after the first section. The second and best edition of this chronological history of Rome (one of the first in this order) based on the lists or fasti in which Ancient Rome's history was recorded. Earlier editions lacked the crucial commentary and the section on the etymology of Roman names (De nominibus Romanorum)leading Brunet to call the first edition "rare mais sans valeur" Adams S1115, Brunet V 380.
