Brown cloth, decorated in gilt and black to the front and spine. Illustrated with 12 full-page color chromolithographs from designs by Hermann Faber. All are present. A slight spine lean. There is some fraying to the spine ends and wear to the lower corners. An early owner inscription to a front blank is dated 1873. All page edges gilt with marbling visible under the gilt when pages are fanned. Ribbon marker bound-in. Bookplate to the front pastedown. Notes in red ink to the first blank. All pages present but for the end colophon leaf. There is a bit of wear along the spine edges. Some darkening to the spine. All the text is quite clean but for the usual toning.
