Folded in front is a typed letter from the publisher, Lee Furman, expressing enthusiasm to a potential reviewer, The half-title page is signed by both authors as well as Lee Furman. A fourth signature is that of David Lloyd, who seems to have had some connection to the book. There are ten mounted early reviews on the preliminary leaves. They are from 1938 newspapers and dark shadows from them have been cast. Very slight fading to the spine lettering, the book itself with little wear. Very Good.

French, Daniel Chester George Leon Varney for a volume entitled "Favorite Poems of Famous People" (Vaughan Publishing Co., Chicago. 1910) wrote to luminaries in many fields requesting their favorite poems. This is Daniel Chester French's reply to him, with three choices."I have so many favorites". A fine copy of the book is included. The typed letter is dated August 27, 1909. It is on Chesterwood stationary and signed in ink.- $800
