Notched and worn along the spine from once being bound within an album, the front wrapper is nearly detached from the spine, the rear wrapper is detached but present, "55" penned on the front wrapper, edgewear including chips and tears, and offsetting and foxing throughout, a complete but good only copy, the illustration on the front wrapper remaining quite bold and vibrant for its age. A song about the character Florence from Charles Dickens' novel, *Dombey and Son*, with an excerpt from the book describing Florence running away from home after her cruel father strikes her, the song is told from her point of view in the moments afterward. *OCLC* locates only a single holding of this edition and it appears to be equally scarce in the trade.[Sheet music]: Who Carries the Gun? Outer bifolium separated along the fold but both leaves are present, the middle bifolium is nearly separated along the fold, all three bifoliums are notched and worn along the fold from once being bound within an album, composer's name stamp and an owner inscription in ink on the front cover, toning and rubbing to the exterior, a complete but good only copy. For voice and piano. Plate imprint, "H.1908." Dedicated to Field-Marshal Viscount Wolseley. The lyrics to this song are taken from Arthur Conan Doyle's poem, "A Ballad of the Ranks," which is printed in its entirety underneath the lyrics on the verso of the front cover. The composer of this piece, Alicia Adélaide Needham, was the first woman to ever conduct at the Royal Albert Hall. *OCLC* locates only five holdings and it appears to be equally scarce in the trade.- $125
