Osborne & McDougal were the editors and the work is a compilation of the activities held on board during the winter period. The format is in the style of the London Illustrated News. There are poems, songs, notes, all written in fine copperplate; and we read accounts of the plays and fancy dress balls they held to keep the morale of the crew at a high level, and drive away the bogey of monotony. The work is similar in content to THE SOUTH POLAR TIMES which was written 50 years later in the Antarctic.- $164
