Very lovely full maroon morocco by Trautz-Bauzonnet. Spine with five raised bands, gilt lettering in two compartments. Gilt decorated turn-ins. Marbled endpapers. All page edges gilt with marbling visible under the gilt when pages are fanned. Ribbon marker bound-in. Bookplate to the front pastedown. Notes in red ink to the first blank. All pages present but for the end colophon leaf. There is a bit of wear along the spine edges. Some darkening to the spine. All the text is quite clean but for the usual toning. To the "they broke their bread" page there are several small stains to the lower corner margin area. Early former owner inscription to the half-title page.
