Approximately 10" x 12.25" menu from the former Tic Toc Club in Boston, which was located at 245 Tremont Street, opposite the Metropolitan Theatre (now known as the Wang Theatre), in the heart of the theater district. The menu is SIGNED BY FATS WALLER and one other person (Irene Marconi?), likely a local musician. Fats Waller was a celebrated jazz pianist, composer, singer, and comedic entertainer, and most active during the 1920s and 1930s until his untimely death in 1943. The menu is from the first of several Tic Toc Club locations in Boston, and featured big name band performances. It is not known how the menu came to be signed by Waller, but whether or not he actually performed at the Tic Toc or not, it is likely a club he would have visited if in Boston. Very unique autograph piece of this jazz icon. PLEASE NOTE that all our First Editions are also First Printings, unless we specifically note otherwise.
