John Moore (1729-1802) was a Scottish physician, who at the beginning of the uprisings in France was hoping for the establishment of a constitutional monarchy. In 1792 he journeyed to France and during his residence witnessed some of the most horrific scenes of violence and bloodshed. As a result, his journal became an important resource for later historians most notably Carlyle. Size: 8vo.
