She is most known outside of her Rhode Island home as a creator of New Yorker covers. Her style is very classic New England and instantly recognizable to readers of the magazine. The artist explains her "working method" the result of which evokes a "sense of place". The New Yorker is one publication which still clings to the old fashioned thought that a picture (in this case the cover) evokes memories and thoughts as a bonus in the reading of a publication which deals with words and opinions. .
