Early life and removal to Minnesota, Sioux Indian massacre; overland in 1891 to Oregon; return to Vermont in 1892. She traveled with her father Benjamin Ash, who drove his team from Vermont to Oregon "a distance of 4500 miles in 7 months, crossing the Rocky Mountains." After 9 months, they traveled back to Vermont. Not in Eberstadt, Howes, Decker, Graff, Soliday, Streeter or Wright. Also contains material on the Dakota War of 1862 Rare.
