Large folding chart approximate 18 by 30 inches printed in red and black and with a fine cloth backing, bound into a portfolio. The portfolio is covered in paper decorated with blue fleurs-de-lis in a repeating red diapeer pettern. Gilt title on the spine, and a bookseller ticket on the front pastedown. The chart was cut into nine sectiins to allow folding into the portfolio. Some wear to the inner spine paper, but a very good exemplar. Accoimpanied by the explanatory booklet, 12mo, stiff wraps, 16pp. and signed I. H. The chart is signed I. Hewitt, the I probably stanind for Ioannes (John). The author is probably John Hewitt the Antiquarian, known for his work at the TOwer of London and his well-regarded guide on the history, armory and antiquities of the Tower. .
