Personal log of automobile trips taken from April, 1910 up to August 1926, most before mid 1914, by an unidentified driver. He records in the earlier part of the log dates, mileage, weather, conditions of road and specific indidents that day. Later entries are in pencil. Bookplate of WEC on front board. Frede Penfield was an American diplomat who previously had been U.S. diplomatic age to Egypt and during World War I U.S. ambassador to Austria-Hungary. Am impressive decorative binding in red morocco with gilt and floral silk lining as endpages.
