Significant wear and bumping to edges with boards exposed at corners; cloth at head and tail of spine is frayed; light toning; minor scratching. Binding is tight. Interior is clean except for very light toning. Text block has a deckle fore-edge. Includes a black-and-white portrait of Commodore Stockton as a frontispiece, 4 color lithographs on plates, and five facsimile documents.
